Parental Notification
As you are probably aware a number of schools have large numbers of pupils absent through illness.
There appears to be 2 main sets of symptoms:
1. Vomiting and diarrhoea.
2. Flu like Symptoms including raised temperature.
Having consulted the Public Health Agency for guidance they advise the following:-
• These illnesses are consistent with this time of year.
• If your child is feeling unwell they should remain at home.
• If your child has vomiting and diarrhoea please do not send them to school until 48 hours after the last episode.
• If your child has flu like symptoms please do not send them to school until they have recovered.
• If you are still concerned about your child please seek medical advice.
