We are reading ‘Under The Hawthorn Tree’ in Literacy and learning about life in Ireland during The Irish Famine. We are learning about how so many Irish fled to other countries desperately hoping to survive. They travelled on ‘Coffin Ships’ and the companies used advertising strategies to sell their ships as luxurious, so far away from the truth! We are creating artwork to use in our own ship advertisements.
