Staff Training Day
13th Mar 2026
Today our staff had the pleasure of receiving training from Occupational Therapist Grace Magennis from The Sensory Submarine. She shared fantastic resources, practical strategies, and creative ideas to support children with sensory regulation, as well as developing their fine and gross motor skills. It was also a great reminder of how important regular movement breaks are for children’s learning and wellbeing.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to the wonderful parents from the Butterfly Room and Rainbow Room who made this opportunity possible through their fundraising efforts ❤️
Grace also shared a powerful reminder that really stayed with us today:
“Before we ever put a pencil in a child’s hands, those hands should dig, climb, press, push, pull, squish, twist, and pinch in a wide array of environments and with a variety of materials.”
A truly inspiring and informative session for our staff.
